With a poly liner, the interior of the bin is corrosion resistant, and the exterior is resilient stainless steel. Keeping it from spilling out, this unit has an ice shield that controls the flow of ice. The bin can hold 1,320 pounds of ice, and the head makes from 244 to 313 pounds of ice per day.

With the push of a button, the Ice-O-Matic CIM0320HA/B1300-48 half-cube ice machine with bin offers control of the descaling and sanitizing process. PURE ICE antimicrobial is built-in to the unit to inhibit the growth of bacteria, and the inner components snap out for dishwasher cleaning. To make half-cube ice, this unit operates with a self-contained, air-cooled condenser, while an LED display enables users to monitor the system's status.
