It uses a monitoring system to anticipate problems before they occur, shutting down the system to prevent damage and costly repairs. This unit produces a maximum of 540 pounds of flake-style ice per day, a type which is ideal for cooling displayed food at buffets or blending into smoothies.

The Ice-O-Matic MFI0500A/B1000-48 ice machine is an air-cooled unit with a simple-to-install, self-contained condenser. Both its evaporator and auger are made of stainless steel to defend against rust and corrosion, and its stainless steel exterior finish provides a clean, sleek appearance. Its accompanying bin can accommodate as much as 1,000 pounds of ice, and a first-in, first out management system maintains consistent freshness. To reduce the risk of damage from insufficient water levels, this unit uses a water sensor.
